THE OFFICIAL SCHEDULE OF SECOND AND THIRD DEGREE EXEMPLIFICATIONS FOR THE KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS OF THE STATE OF MAINE

NOTICE:

If your council is sponsoring one or more candidates, it must provide payment for each candidate in the amount of $15.00. Checks should be made out to the host council.
All members must present a valid membership card. Each candidates must present his first degree card.


Exemplification of the Second and Third Degrees of our order will be conducted on
Sunday, August 17, 2008 in Lewiston,
hosted by Fr. Louis J. Fortier Council #106.

The degree ceremonies begin at noon.
Candidates are asked to arrive by 11:00 AM.
Location of the cremonies: The council hall, 150 East Avenue in Lewiston.

Exemplification of the Second and Third Degrees of our order will be conducted on
Sunday, September 28, 2008 in Millinocket,
hosted by St. Martin of Tours Council # 680.

The degree ceremonies begin at noon.
Candidates are asked to arrive by 11:00 AM.
Location of the ceremonies: To be announced.

Degree Team Conducting the Exemplification: To be announced

Conferring Officer: To be announced

Exemplification of the Second and Third Degrees of our order will be conducted on
Sunday, October 19, 2008 in Brunswick,
hosted by Sekenger Council #1947.

The degree ceremonies begin at noon.
Candidates are asked to arrive by 11:00 AM.
Location of the ceremonies: The council hall, 2 Columbus Drive in Brunswick.

Degree Team Conducting the Exemplification: To be announced
Grand Knight: Richard Lewis
District Deputy: Brian Lewis
Conferring Officer: To be announed

A spaghetti dinner provided by the chefs of the host council will be available, following the degree, for "donations only".
Additional information may be obtained by contacting your grand knight or district deputy.

FIRST DEGREE EXEMPLIFICATIONS, AS REPORTED TO THE WEBMASTER

(First Degree Exemplifications are conducted at the local level. This list is contains the latest information reported to the webmaster of this site, but it should not be considered a definitive source of information. It is possible that some degrees have not been reported to the webmaster, and that a previously-schedule degree has been changed, postponed or cancelled.)

The Fr. John E. Bellefontaine Council 8918 holds First Degrees on the fourth Monday of the month at St. Monica Hall in Augusta if there are any candidates. District Deputies and Grand Knights with candidates should contact Brother David Stewart, Team Captain at 622-4884 or 441-0184. He should be contacted before the second Monday of the month.




Bath, Council 249, has a "set date" for a monthly 1st degree.  The 2nd Tuesday of each month.

Brunswick, Council 1947, has a "set date" for the fourth Monday of each month.

Any councils wishing these wonderful degree teams to bring in your new members, please contact District Deputy, Brian Lewis, DD#13, at least one week prior. These will ensure there will be a degree.

Grand Knights, DDs or council reps attending are asked to bring necessary items for the candidates' degree ceremony. 

Please have you candidates at the councils by 6:30 pm for the 7:00 pm degree.

THE EXEMPLIFICATION OF THE FOURTH DEGREE

The Maine District of the Bishop James A. Healy Province congratulates our 77 new Fourth Degree Knights, who took their degree on June 14, 2008 (Flag Day) at the Augusta Civic Center. Our next exemplification of the Fourth Degree wiil be held in 2009.
